Removing a redundant chimney breast reclaims valuable space in bedrooms and reception rooms. You cannot simply knock one out and leave the stack above hanging, so we support what remains with steel gallows brackets bolted to the party wall, or a beam where brackets are unsuitable, all designed by a structural engineer.
