It has to sit in the programme from the start, not be called in on the morning the beam lands.

Its office hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm, and it is closed on bank holidays. We coordinate the application and the visits, so those calls are ours to make rather than yours to chase.
The point that matters on site is timing. A beam bearing has to be seen while it is still open to view, so nothing is boarded, boxed or plastered over a padstone until the inspector has been. With a bank holiday weekend in the way, that can move a fixing date by several working days. We build the booking into the programme at the outset.
