What gets inspected in a kitchen

Mechanical extraction has to meet the ventilation rates set out in Part F. And any structural opening brings the full inspection regime with it. Gas appliances are separate again, since that work sits with a Gas Safe registered engineer and produces its own certificate.
Drainage is the fourth. Where a new waste connects into an existing gully or soil stack, that connection and its fall get looked at, and in the older SE10 properties the existing drainage is not always where the plans suggest. We book inspections as the work reaches each stage rather than saving them for the end, since a covered connection or a plastered circuit is far harder to demonstrate after the fact.
